Pixlar8k M3U Playlist and Xtream Codes Login Guide

When your Pixlar8k order is confirmed, the login details arrive in one of three shapes: an M3U playlist link, an Xtream Codes login (server address, username and password), or a portal address for a MAG box. All three open the same Pixlar8k account, with the same 55,000+ live channels and 150,000+ movies and series. What changes is how your player reads the account. This guide explains each M3U playlist and Xtream Codes format, which apps accept which one, and what to do when a login doesn't work.
M3U playlist vs Xtream Codes: the short version
Both formats are ways of handing your Pixlar8k account to an IPTV player. The player itself contains no channels; it only shows what your login gives it.
| M3U playlist | Xtream Codes login | MAG portal | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What you enter | One long URL (or a playlist file) | Server address, username, password | A portal address on the box |
| Live channels | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Movies and series grouped as VOD | Depends on the app | Yes, in separate sections | Yes |
| TV guide (EPG) | Usually a second EPG link | Loaded automatically | Loaded by the portal |
| Typical devices | PC, Mac, Android, any M3U player | Smart TVs, Fire TV, Android, iPhone, Apple TV | MAG boxes |
If your app offers both, pick the Xtream Codes login. It is shorter to type, it loads the TV guide by itself and it keeps live TV, movies and series in separate sections. Use the M3U playlist when an app only takes a playlist link, as many desktop players do.
What a Pixlar8k IPTV M3U playlist is
M3U is a plain-text playlist format. Each entry is a channel name plus the address of its stream, and extended M3U files add a logo, a group (news, sports, kids …) and a guide ID. An IPTV M3U playlist is simply that list for a whole subscription, served from a link so it stays up to date when channels change.
A playlist link has your username and password built in. It looks roughly like this, with placeholders instead of real values:
http://example-server:port/get.php?username=YOUR_USERNAME&password=YOUR_PASSWORD&type=m3u_plus&output=ts
Treat that link as a password. Anyone who has it can open your Pixlar8k account, which is why you should never post it in a forum, a group chat or a screenshot.
M3U URL or playlist file?
Most apps ask for the M3U URL (the playlist URL), and that is the better
choice: the app reloads it, so new or renamed channels show up without you
doing anything. A downloaded .m3u file is a frozen copy. It works in
players such as VLC, but it goes stale and has to be replaced by hand.
M3U vs M3U8
You will see both extensions. An M3U8 playlist is the same format saved in
UTF-8 text encoding, which keeps channel names with accents or non-Latin
characters readable. The .m3u8 extension is also used by HLS streaming
for the small playlists that point to video segments. For loading an IPTV
M3U playlist into a player, the two behave the same way: if an app asks for
an M3U or M3U8 link, the link from your welcome message goes in that field.
What about free M3U playlists?
Searches for free M3U playlists are common, and so are the problems with them: lists that stop working after a few days, streams that nobody has the rights to share, and links that come with unknown apps attached. A paid login from a provider you can contact, refund and hold to its published terms is the safer route. Use services and content you're entitled to.
How a Pixlar8k Xtream Codes login works
Xtream Codes started as the name of a panel that IPTV providers used to run their servers. The panel is long gone, but its login style stayed, and "Xtream Codes API" is now the standard name for a three-field login that most IPTV apps support:
- Server address (also called URL or host), for example
http://example-server:port - Username
- Password
That is the "xtream format": username, password and host. The app asks the server for the account's categories, channels, VOD library and guide data in one go. That is why an Xtream Codes login usually feels faster to set up than a playlist: there is no separate EPG link, and movies and series land in their own menus.
Type the server address exactly as it appears in your Pixlar8k welcome
message, including http:// and the port number after the colon. A missing
port or an extra space at the end is the most common reason a correct
username and password are refused.
Xtream Codes apps and M3U players by device
Pixlar8k's installation guide covers each device step by step. In short, these are the independent players it names, and the login each one expects:
| Device | Player | Login to use |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Fire TV / Fire TV Stick | IPTV Smarters Pro (installed with the Downloader app) | Xtream Codes |
| Android TV boxes, phones and tablets | IPTV Smarters Pro or TiviMate | Xtream Codes (M3U also accepted) |
| iPhone, iPad, Apple TV | Smarters Player Lite | Xtream Codes |
| Samsung and LG Smart TVs | IBO Player Pro, SetIPTV, NetIPTV or IPTV Smarters | Activated with your TV's MAC address |
| Formuler boxes | MyTVOnline | Portal or Xtream Codes |
| Windows PC or Mac | VLC or any M3U player | M3U playlist |
| MAG boxes | Built-in portal | Portal address |
On Samsung and LG TVs, players such as IBO Player Pro and SetIPTV show a MAC address on screen when you first open them. Note it down and send it to Pixlar8k support on WhatsApp; the team links your login to that player, so you don't have to type a long playlist link with a TV remote.
Pixlar8k on MAG boxes: the portal option
A MAG box doesn't use an app at all. It has its own built-in menu and connects through a portal address, which is a URL in this format:
http://example-portal:port/c/
Portal logins are tied to the box's MAC address, which is printed on a sticker underneath and shown in the system settings. When you order Pixlar8k for a MAG box, tell the team on WhatsApp and have that MAC address ready; the portal address comes with your login details. On the box, open Settings → System settings → Servers → Portals, enter a portal name and the portal URL, save, and restart. Formuler boxes running MyTVOnline can use a portal in the same way.
Keeping your Pixlar8k login private
Every Pixlar8k plan includes a set number of connections, from 1 to 5. One connection is one stream at a time: a 2-connection plan can play on two screens at once, not on a third. The M3U link, the Xtream Codes login and the portal all count against the same limit.
Account sharing beyond the connections you paid for can lead to a temporary suspension of the line, so:
- Keep the login on your own devices and don't hand the playlist link to friends.
- Don't paste the link or the server address into public forums, review sites or screenshots.
- If you need more screens, choose a plan with more connections on the plans and pricing page instead of stretching one login.
- If you think your login has leaked, message support on WhatsApp so the team can look at it.
When a login doesn't work
Most "invalid login" errors come down to typing, not to the account:
- Check the server address. It must include
http://and the port. No trailing slash or space unless the welcome message shows one. - Check capital letters. Usernames and passwords are case-sensitive.
- Make sure you're not over your connection count. A stream still running on another screen counts as a connection.
- Refresh the playlist or reload the account if channels are missing or the guide is empty.
- Try the other format. If a player refuses the M3U link, the same account in Xtream Codes form often works, and the reverse.

FAQ
What is an M3U playlist?
An M3U playlist is a plain-text list of channel names and stream addresses that an IPTV player reads. With Pixlar8k it comes as a link with your username and password built in, so the player always loads the current channel list.
What is an M3U URL?
It is the web address of that playlist. You paste it into the "M3U URL" or "playlist URL" field of your player instead of downloading a file. Keep it private: the URL contains your login.
How do I play an M3U file?
Open it in a player that supports playlists. On a PC or Mac, VLC can open an M3U file or URL from its media menu. On TVs, phones and streaming sticks, add the link in an IPTV player such as IPTV Smarters Pro or TiviMate.
What is Xtream Codes API?
It is the three-field login most IPTV apps support: server address, username and password. The app uses it to load live channels, movies, series and the TV guide from the provider's server in one step.
How do I use Xtream Codes?
Open your player, choose "Login with Xtream Codes API" (the wording varies by app), enter any name for the profile, then the server address with its port, your username and your password exactly as they appear in your welcome message.
